Earthrise Counseling is self– pay, this means that insurance is not accepted. Earthrise Counseling has made the intentional decision not to panel with health insurance providers at this time. Why? 
  • Billing insurance requires a diagnosis. 
  • Insurance can limit your access to care.
  • Insurance can determine which providers you get services from.
  • Many insurance plans still do not cover evidence based services like EMDR Therapy unless you have a specific diagnosis of Acute Stress Disorder or PTSD. 
  • Insurance companies require providers to accept a discounted rate of 45% – 60% (sometimes more) off of our hourly rate. 

Additional fees

  • Late cancellations (less than 24-hour notice of cancellation or reschedule):
    • Client is responsible for half the cost of the scheduled session. 
  • No- Shows:
    • Client is responsible for the full cost of the scheduled session. 
  • What happens if your session goes over time? You will be billed for the cost of the time used based on the counselor’s prorated hourly rate.
Sliding Scale Available for Vulnerable Populations!
  • At Earthrise Counseling, we understand that seeking support can be challenging, which is why we offer sliding scale spots on our caseloads to provide care at a more accessible rate than our standard fee to assist those who are most vulnerable.
  • We deeply appreciate those who can pay the full fee, as a portion of your contribution helps support vulnerable populations who need access through a sliding scale option. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
  • We kindly ask that if your circumstances change and you find yourself able to contribute more while using the sliding scale, please share that with us. Our fees are designed to support vulnerable populations who may not be able to afford the full rate, and your support can make a meaningful difference.
  • We acknowledge that cost may present a concern, and wish to clarify that we currently have a limited number of sliding scale spots available.
